Python Architect/Developer
For our client we are looking for a Python Programmer to support FAME Offboarding
About this opportunity
Our customer is looking for a senior consultant with deep experience of Python programming and architecture. The Fund Reporting team is going to migrate the current fund calculation engine and processes to a new Python based engine build on top of a data warehouse solution developed in MS SQL Server. The operating system on both clients and servers are Microsoft Windows.
The developer/architect will join the current project team made up of existing Fund Reporting team members, data warehouse experts and a business analyst. The developer/architect will work closely with the BA converting business requirements into new solutions on the Python platform as well as supporting the existing team in their coding.
Roles and responsibilities will consist of:
• Setting architecture and key principles for the new architecture.
• Set coding standards and principles.
• Support and develop the existing project team in their Python coding capabilities.
• Participate in project meetings and technical workshops.
The project is ongoing, and we are seeking a developer/architect to join the project team for a period of some 3 months from end-February 2020, with possibility of extension.
The role is based in Stockholm, with some travel, mainly to Copenhagen, expected.
To succeed in this role, we feel you should have the following profile:
• You are a senior developer/architect that enjoy bringing your ideas to the table
• Self-driven with strong sense of responsibility/ownership
• You are a proactive and enthusiastic team player, but also able to work independently
• Have a desire to coach others and guide the project team with regards to the new architecture and coding principles
Your experience and background:
• University degree in Business/Finance/Economics/Engineering/IT/Data Sciences or similar
• Expert in Python programming and architecture
• Previous experience of building systems with time series
• Previous experience in the financial industry is an advantage
In addition to the above requirements your technical background should match the following criteria’s:
• Very good knowledge of Pandas
• Good knowledge NumPy/Matplotlib
• Good knowledge of unit testing with PyTest or similar
• Good knowledge of MS SQL Server
• Knowledge of SQLAlchemy
• Knowledge of CICD with Bitbucket and Bamboo or similar concepts
